Turbidity Removal Systems
Loprest's Dual stage filtration system is made up of a pressure contact clarifier followed by a dual media filter. It has been permitted by CDPH in many locations for surface water treatment. Loprest systems have been used to produce boiler feed water, potable water production, whey purification, and beverage purification.
Conventional clarifiers, gravity filters and pressure filtration equipment are all part of loprest's equipment line.
Arsenic Removal Systems
Loprest will supply systems from as low as 10 gpm to over 10,000 gpm. Loprest provides arsenic removal systems utilizing coagulation/precipitation with either mono layer or dual media designs or by utilizing adsorptive materials. For Adsorptive Systems, Loprest has partnered with DOW CHEMICAL COMPANY. We have the largest arsenic removal system using Dow's Titanium-Based Arsenic Removal Media. This media has significant advantages over other adsorptive medias in terms of capacity, performance in high silica waters and operation at elevated pH.
Iron & Manganese Removal Systems
Loprest accomplishes the removal of iron and manganese without the use of potassium permanganate. Loprest Iron & Manganese Removal Systems use a catalyzed oxidation process with Manganese Greensand. Iron, manganese and arsenic removal are all accomplished in a one step process and in a single tank. The Loprest System uses chlorine as the only chemical required to reduce iron and manganese to below their MCL values and to near non- detect levels. Chlorine can be injected from a number of sources; including bulk liquid, gaseous, or on-site generation. Other oxidants such as ozone, mixed oxidant solution or permanganate also work with the Loprest System.
